  The innkeepers, Lorne and Janet, are endearing and great company. Upon arriving at the Alicion, Janet welcomed us with a smile and made us feel like we were family throughout our stay. The full, hot breakfasts prepared by Lorne were delicious and filling, and Lorne was very helpful in providing us with information on what to see and do in the area.

  Beautifully restored and lovingly cared for home. We had a peaceful and comfortable stay at Alicion. Lorne and Janet were great hosts and the breakfast was top notch. It was a nice way to wrap up our vacation.

  Staying at a wonderful and beautiful B&B is an experience everyone enjoys. However, it’s better at the Alicion. Why, you ask? The answer is simple. The owners provide the experience, the ambiance, the wonderful breakfasts and engaging conversation about Lunenburg, its history and their personal life travels that brought them to Lunenburg. It is even more engaging while sitting on their massive covered porch with a glass of Nova Scotian white wine and fresh shrimp.

  The Inn itself is beautiful, clean and very quiet. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a large ensuite bathroom. The Inn is situated on a quiet street within a 10 minute walk to the Old Town of Lunenburg with gourmet restaurants, shops, galleries, historic homes and the waterfront.

  Lorne and Janet, with their hospitality, made our stay at the Alicion a most pleasurable experience. We loved Lunenburg and hope to return again and stay at this perfect B&B. Our happy memories with Lorne and Janet will be long lasting.
