The only reason I didn't give them a 1, is that I like supporting Laughing Whale when I can - as their coffee is pretty good. It's just unfortunate I will not be going back in to this shop.

The best coffee I had in Nova Scotia: I took some back to Guysborough County and when it was gone I thought up a road trip with a friend to get to the South Shore for more. I wish I could get it in the States!

I had an example of disappointing customer service here today. While browsing, a man spilled an entire cup of coffee on my chest and stomach - he had it in his hand while looking at a high display. An item shifted and the coffee went flying into me. I yelled and asked for the washroom key where I washed my white top and put cold towels on my blistering chest. When I came out, in my soaking wet shirt, the man asked if I was ok - while he was given a new coffee. The floor was being mopped and the manager told me to be careful not to slip. The owners did not ask if I was ok. I left and as the blisters increased, I became increasingly annoyed that no one inquired about my condition while the careless man was given coffee. I went back and commented that it was strange that the man got a replacement coffee and no one asked about me. The reply - we didn't see what happened. We just heard the yell and saw the coffee on the floor. I said it should have been obvious that I was burned - especially as I rushed to get the washroom key from them - the reply was "there was milk in it so it wasn't that hot". Really?!? Then I was offered a coffee... too little, too late. Lost opportunity.

So many amazing things! I think I wanted to buy everything the second I walked in the store. The atmosphere is amazing, the food is delicious, the latte I had was well made and full of flavour, and it was and overall great experience.

My wife and I moved to Lunenburg back in November and I have to say only went in twice, once a minute ago and I have to say both times the service was horrible. The older bald man with glasses is possitivly RUDE, for no reason what so ever... All our experiences in town have been amazing and heartwarming, except for these two attempts of giving this man our money.
